My mom was a selfless person. She gave up so much to help others. She had a stroke in 2008 and slowly developed Auto-Immune hepatitis. But this never stopped her from going out of her way to help others. She was an animal lover especially when it came to dogs and more specifically, pugs. She had two pugs and loved them like they were her own children. She always wanted to have fun and made our family go on vacations to Florida and New York. She went in for treatments on an "as-needed basis" for her illnesses. She eventually developed an infection and her immune system was not strong enough. I believe that she is with me now in all my actions and everything I do. “Just knowing you're not alone is often enough to kindle hope amid tragic circumstances.”- Richelle E. Goodrich
